Senior Adults

Our Senior Adult Ministry strives to provide programs of interest to seniors that foster spiritual and educational growth, mental and physical wellness, as well as fellowship and support to enrich the lives of senior adults in the church and community.  Our programs are open to all and we invite you to participate.

Under the direction of Elaine Burrell, MSW, we offer a Tuesday lunch program with entertainment and fellowship, as well as a monthly Lunch & Learn featuring educational & spiritual programs of interest to mature adults. In partnership with the Sharp Senior Resource Center, we provide wellness screenings & health lectures for seniors. In 2017, we also plan to launch a gentle exercise program. For details about our current Senior Program offerings, please click here or contact Elaine at , or 619-223-1633, Ext. 210.

Red Brick Senior Center meets most weeks on Tuesdays from September through May. At 10 a.m., Senior Center opens for snacks and coffee in the Family Life Center. There is a musical performance from 11 a.m. to noon. Lunch is from noon to 1 p.m. Reservations are required by the previous Friday (email Elaine Burrell at ). Lunches are $6.00.

Lunch and Learn

Lunch and Learn events are once-a-month bring-your-own lunches events.

Forever Fit, a gentle exercise class, is held every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center. This free class is hosted in partnership with the Peninsula YMCA.

Special Events

We have occasional special events planned with our seniors in mind (though, often, everyone is invited).
