Come participate in the conversation against racism where participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ask questions, and develop friendships.
Our goal: a racism-free society through transformed hearts and minds.
“May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (John 17:23)
Hosting the conversation will be Darwin Fishman, Ph. D and Gordy Lutes. Darwin was one of the speakers at our Symposium and is a Board member on the Community Review Board on Police Practices for San Diego. Gordy is a long time member of our church and a founding board member of Continuing The Conversation. For more information contact Gordy at
REFRESH
First and Third Wednesdays of the Month | 7 - 8:30 pm | Private Home
We are a group that focuses on what God has done, is doing and will do in our lives as we begin practicing the spiritual disciplines. The goal of Refresh is to create a space where we can grow spiritually TOGETHER, to study the word TOGETHER, and to support each other TOGETHER in prayer.

Prayer Quilt Ministry
Who we are: Chapter 78 of Prayers and Squares – The Prayer Quilt Ministry. We formed over fifteen years ago and our chapter has provided over 1950 prayer quilts to people in need over that time period. Everyone is welcome!
What we do: We make lap-sized quilts which are bound together with pearl cotton floss. When someone is in need of prayer, a quilt is selected, placed in front of the congregation and the people of the church “tie in prayers” utilizing the floss.
Why we do it: We believe in the power of prayer, and we are grateful for our ability to use our time and talent to serve God while also enjoying the special relationships that have developed over the years. We believe that it is important that people have a tangible reminder that people are praying for them in whatever they are going through. To find out how you can get involved, please e-mail Karen Vandenberg
or call (858) 569-6115. To request a prayer quilt, email
