PRAYER QUILT MINISTRY

Chapter Meetings | First Saturday of most months
Prayer Team | Third Wednesday of the month | 9 am | Prayer Quilt Member's Home
Quilting Workshops | Second & Fourth Wednesdays | 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Who we are: Chapter 78 of Prayers and Squares – The Prayer Quilt Ministry. We formed over fifteen years ago and our chapter has provided over 1950 prayer quilts to people in need over that time period. Everyone is welcome!
What we do: We make lap-sized quilts which are bound together with pearl cotton floss. When someone is in need of prayer, a quilt is selected, placed in front of the congregation and the people of the church “tie in prayers” utilizing the floss.
Why we do it: We believe in the power of prayer, and we are grateful for our ability to use our time and talent to serve God while also enjoying the special relationships that have developed over the years. We believe that it is important that people have a tangible reminder that people are praying for them in whatever they are going through. To find out how you can get involved, please e-mail Karen Vandenberg or call (858) 569-6115. To request a prayer quilt, email .
