Giving is an act of worship. In giving we have the opportunity to give back to God what He has entrusted to us. This includes all aspect of our lives, and often the things we cling to the most for our identity - our time, our talent, and our treasure.
Giving is not an obligation, as much as it is a gift that God has given to us. The act of giving is both spiritual and transforming, as it frees us from the tendency to think that we are in the ones in control and shifts our eyes to the One who is. The act of giving transforms our hearts and our minds as we release finite assets to a God that uses them infinitely. The act of giving is a tangible way to connect with God and God's world for the furthering of His Kingdom on this earth; a Kingdom which we have the opportunity to partner with God in extending to those around us.
The Old Testament standard for giving is ten percent of our time, talent, and treasure, but with Jesus true giving extends from the heart. As a result, giving based upon gratitude is the kind of giving God wants for each of us, there is no percentage for that kind of response! We give because God gave and continues to give to each of us every minute of every day.
We are currently in our annual giving season at Point Loma Church. This provides an opportunity to support the work that God is doing here for anyone who has been impacted by this ministry. Click below to learn more about the impact your donations had in 2024 as well as what we hope to do in 2025, God willing.
Will you prayerfully consider giving to PLCPC this year?
Please fill out the pledge card below with your commitment for the coming year. Your response helps us plan for the future.

"In every way I’ve shown you that by laboring like this, it is necessary to help the weak and to keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus, for He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35
