Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church has a long-standing partnership with San Diego Military Outreach Ministries—affectionately known as MOMs. Through your giving, our church supports this faith-based organization as they care for young military families stationed throughout our region.
MOMs primarily serves enlisted families ranked E-5 and below—many of whom are adjusting to military life on a tight budget, often far from extended family or community support. Through weekly outreach efforts, MOMs distributes food, diapers, children’s clothing, furniture, and household essentials. They also organize special events like newborn baby showers and the Christmas Toy Store, which brings joy to hundreds of military children each year.
With just three vans and a dedicated team, MOMs makes a wide impact—delivering thousands of miles’ worth of help, hope, and hospitality across San Diego. Their mission is simple but deeply meaningful: to provide care with dignity, faith, and generosity to those who serve our country.
Each Christmas, PLCPC helps host the MOMs Toy Store right here on our campus. It’s a joyful event that brings military parents in to choose gifts for their children in a warm, welcoming space. Help is always needed to set up, host families during the event, and assist with toy donations. Keep an eye out for our volunteer sign-up and toy drive this Christmas season.
