As was announced at the Congregational Meeting on July 11, we are planning for our Fall Kick Off on September 12, 2021.

This  is the week that most of our ministries begin again after summer break. This year, that Sunday also marks a new Sunday Morning Worship Schedule:

9:00 am Kids Worship in the Children's Center*

9:30 am Recorded Online Worship

10:30 am Cafe  Worship in the Chapel
10:30 am Kids Worship in the Children's Center*

*Kids Worship is for children in preschool through 5th grade. Nursery care is also available for  infants through 3 years old.

Covid-19 Protocols and Return to Campus

Hello church family,

Basketball great, Michael Jordan, was once quoted as saying, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” I am pleased to announce that is exactly what we have done this past year! And now, I am equally pleased to announce it is all coming to an end.

Effective June 15, 2021, we are lifting the mask and social distancing requirement on the church campus for those who are fully vaccinated. In addition to masks being optional for the fully vaccinated, participants in all adult groups will no longer have to undergo check-in and check-out procedures. While this is a bright light at the end of a dark tunnel for many, please remember to remain sensitive to those in our community who are unable to receive the vaccine due to age or underlying health conditions.

Although the mask requirement is being lifted for the church campus, it remains in effect for the Preschool, as well as all staff, and volunteers (regardless of vaccination status) in certain situations. Masks are also still required to be worn by participants in our Children and Youth Ministry programs (including adult volunteers). If a youth participant, age 12 and up, is fully vaccinated, he or she must present proof of full vaccination prior to being permitted to be mask-free.

Return to full in-person worship is expected to occur on Sunday, September 12 with new worship times. I encourage you to fill out our newest survey by June 13 to help us discern what those times will be. Click here to access the Online Ministry Survey.

This full return in the fall enables our staff to take vacation this summer and also to install air-conditioning in our Chapel for a more ventilated (and less hot) space. Until that point, the Café Service will remain on the outdoor turf at 9 am and our Sanctuary service will continue at 10:30 am with corresponding kids’ programs. The online service option will also remain at 9:30 am and 11 am.

Thank you all for the work you have done this year to keep everyone in our community safe! I am grateful we are moving one step closer to normalcy and equally grateful for who we have become and are still becoming through this unusual year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call the church office.
