It’s been a busy couple of weeks on our church campus!
We wanted to share a few photos showing the progress on the demolition of the center stairwell and surrounding building—this is the area near the old Preschool entrance and just behind the Chapel. According to our Construction Management team, the building is coming down smoothly. And take a look at that stunning new view of the Spire!
On an unrelated note, we also had a water leak along the sidewalk. This is the third time in two years that the large roots from the old Torrey Pine tree (once located outside the Chapel entrance) have broken through the water main. Although the tree was removed last year, we’ve since discovered the need to replace the old pipes and cut back additional roots and landscaping to prevent future issues. If you were on campus recently and noticed the water was shut off—this was the reason. The good news: everything is now repaired and running smoothly, complete with a few new shut-off valves.
And lastly, don’t miss the joyful smiles of our preschoolers—they’re loving their new playground space!
