We are nearing the end of Phase One in our Generation to Generation Renovation and preparing for Phase Two. You will see many movements over the coming weeks; here are a few highlights.
Classrooms
The Preschool Classrooms are just about complete! Flooring and final plumbing have been installed this week, and the spaces will be ready by the end of the month to be staged with furniture for childcare licensing.
Turf Playground
If you were on the church campus this week, you may have noticed that the small parking lot by the Family Life Center now has turf! This will be an outdoor play space for the infants during Phase Two of the renovation. Fencing went up around the turf today and will be accessible only to the Preschool. The FLC parking lot is still reserved for pedestrian-only use.
The Sanctuary Parking lot (where the turf was previously installed) is now the “lay down” area for the construction crew. This area is off limits to the general public.
Resource Room
This Sunday, all of the materials from the downstairs teacher’s lounge will move up to the new Resource Room upstairs. Right in time for the new school year to begin!
