Reflections From The PNC
Finding others to travel alongside us in life is a gift to of all of us. Jesus had a large group of disciples who followed him, twelve of whom He named apostles, with three becoming His closest companions. Their life together consisted of getting to know Jesus, building relationships with one another, seeking God together, and serving others in His name. It resulted in a growing understanding of who Jesus was and who they were in relationship to Him, one another, and the world.
Many of you have profusely thanked us for sacrificially giving up our time for the last 15 months while serving as your PNC. We, too, thank you for trusting us and for waiting. Waiting can be frustrating, especially when the outcome is uncertain. But for us, the waiting became the lesson of learning to abide. The immeasurable growth and faith that results from abiding is a gift for which all of us will be eternally grateful.
The adventure of following Christ is one that rests in His perfect plans and flexibility helps us to be prepared for wherever His purposes might take us. Might we all remain flexible and learn to abide as we continue to walk with our new Senior Pastor in our journey of faith together as a church.
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. John 15:7
