New Day Urban Ministry is seeking student backpacks and school supplies for children up to 12 years old. Ideally, backpacks would come pre-packed with necessary school supplies.
Requested supplies include :
- No. 2 pencils
- reusable lunch bags
- 4 oz. glue bottles
- colored pencils
- highlighters
- colored markers
- 5-inch school scissors
- glue sticks
- small stapler & small staples
- watercolor paints
- spiral 1 subject notebooks
- composition notebooks
- book covers
- 24 crayons box
- small hand sanitizer
- Folders
- 3x5 index cards
- 3-ring binders
- calculators
- wide-ruled paper
- backpacks
- pocket size tissues
- 12-inch rulers
- pencil sharpeners & erasers
There will be a table to drop off your donations at Coffee on the Porch on Sundays in July. Donations can also be dropped off in the Church office during the week. We will also be collecting money for bus passes. If writing a check, please make the check out to "Point Loma Church" and note "New Day Backpack and Bus Pass Drive" in the memo line.
